Our Story
Who We Are
Sign out is a term that usually signifies the end of something. The end of one thing is always the opportunity to start something else. SignOut Co. is a brand that is about telling a new story, pursuing a new direction, chasing a passion. We want to represent these ideas through our designs, express freedom in what we create and find truth through this process.
Currently, SignOut Co. is comprised of two founding members, Daniel Thornton and Russ Johnston. This is a new beginning... a young, newborn form of our brand.
Our Story
Russ and I both grew up in Katy, Texas. We met in athletics in high school and afterwards, Russ went on to the Savannah College of Art and Design and later on to the University of Texas, where he received a Masters in Advertising. Russ has been working in the graphic design and advertising fields since college. I pursued a Finance degree from the University of Houston and an MBA from UH-Victoria. I have been working in the investment management industry for the last 20 years.
Fast forward 25 years and I was thinking about starting a brand and needed someone to help draw and flesh out some of my ideas. I tracked down Russ and we started working together on a couple of projects. Although we did not create any products, this was a great experience in connecting and working through the creative process together. A few months later, the idea of SignOut made its way to the page. At this point, we decided to form a partnership with a shared vision to work together bringing this brand to market. This commitment to building a brand is our pursuit to SignOut... Finally, we want our brand to have an impact by honoring others and uplifting our community. We are dedicating a portion of all SignOut Co proceeds to support Elijah Rising.
