Josh is a friend of ours, who truly exemplifies a lifestyle and way that is SignOut.

Please take some time to read his short bio that features personal insights from the man himself.

“Always take the road less travelled.”  Mountaineering, running, hiking, climbing, offroading; if it involves being outdoors in a non-traditional way, you'll likely fine Josh in the middle of it having a great time.

A firm believer in personal growth and discovery, Josh finds the message behind Signout Co fundamental to life and happiness. ”Signing out means that I'm taking time to get out of the daily system and connect to myself and God, and listen to what is moving inside me. There's a story in there that gets muted by our modern lifestyle, and we all need to know and live our story.

“And I don’t think signing out necessarily requires you to get away to the wilderness, although that’s my favorite place to sign out.  Signing out is an adventure that can happen in quiet meditation in my bedroom or while taking a stroll along the bayou at night.  It has more to do with intentionally taking time to connect to yourself and listen to your story than anything else.”

Josh first started visiting mountains as a toddler, and that is where his sense to sign out began.  Fishing trout streams, navigating wilderness terrain, and camping in remote environments formed an explorer that seeks out adventure daily.  But he doesn’t rely on mountains to sign out.  As a city-dweller in Houston, he runs Buffalo Bayou and spends more time navigating surface streets in his Jeep than hitting the trails up high.

“Yes, take time to leave the city and sign out in a physical, tangible way.  But don’t forget that really what we’re talking about is pushing aside all the noise and just recognizing what’s going on inside.  And finding a way to live that story authentically.”
